Disney partnered up with Lego to create merchandise  to promote their film.
Lego created a series of toys in relation of the film. Disney made a partnership with Lego because the films target audience is children and Lego makes toys, this allows Disney to easily entice children.
Also a lego Pirates of the caribbean video game was created by Traveller's Tales. The game was released at the same time as the film to gain the most interest. Also with it being a child friendly game it fits in to the films target audience.




These are two pieces of merchandise created by Hot topic. These pieces of merchandise are intended to appeal to the films older audience who may be in their teens. Also Hot topic is a popular brand so a lot of people notice the products

Disney also teamed up with Monopoly and created to make a pirates of the caribbean themed Monopoly game. They did this to reach the films main target audience of children. Doing this gains extra interest in the film and could mean more people may see the film.
