It was promoted firstly with a poster campaign which Fincher refused to let Brad Pitt be focused on in. there many posters for the film and they are made many languages and they were publicly displayed in many places. Trailers for the film were shown before many films of similar certificates before its release to promote the film and show the plots dilemma and creates interest and anticipation for the film. The stars of the film (Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Helen Bonham Carter) and the director David Fincher went out to do interviews with magazines and many news shows. Also having the star Brad Pitt made his fans want to see it and he made it more famous. Also the book promoted the film because the people who were fans of the film would want to see it.
